The Blackmagic Design Fairlight Live Audio Panel 10 is a professional desktop control surface designed for fast, hands-on live audio mixing with Fairlight Live. Its combination of 10 motorized faders, dedicated channel controls, rotary encoders and a large touchscreen gives audio engineers direct control over complex live mixes without relying on a mouse.

The panel provides dedicated access to layers, buses, matrices, auxes, VCAs and sub-masters, allowing different parts of a Fairlight Live mix to be brought directly onto the physical faders. Its 11.6-inch 1920 × 1080 LCD touchscreen displays channel strip information, signal levels, EQ, dynamics processing and plug-in interfaces.

Dual 10G Ethernet connections provide integration with SMPTE 2110 IP video and audio networks, while a separate 1G Ethernet connection handles computer connectivity, configuration and software updates.

10 motorized faders with dedicated channel controls

The Fairlight Live Audio Panel 10 features 10 motorized flying faders for precise tactile control of your live mix. Each channel has dedicated Select, Solo and Mute buttons, enabling quick access to individual sources during demanding productions.

Above the channel strips are 10 multifunction rotary controls with LED ring indicators. These can be used for parameters such as level, pan and other channel functions depending on the active Fairlight Live view.

Selecting a channel brings its processing and input controls into focus, providing quick access to the settings for the active source.

The panel supports Fairlight Live layers as well as bus, matrix, aux, VCA and sub-master control, giving engineers flexible access to larger and more complex mixes from the compact 10-fader surface.

11.6-inch Full HD touchscreen and contextual controls

A built-in 11.6-inch 1920 × 1080 LCD touchscreen provides detailed visual feedback directly above the mixing controls.

The display can show channel strips, audio levels, EQ, dynamics processing and plug-in interfaces. Ten contextual rotary knobs below the display adjust parameters shown on the lower row of the interface, while 10 contextual buttons control functions displayed along the upper row.

This combination of touchscreen operation and physical controls makes it possible to quickly navigate processing parameters while maintaining the tactile workflow expected from a professional live audio console.

Integrated talkback and monitoring

The Fairlight Live Audio Panel 10 includes a complete talkback section with a built-in talkback microphone and dedicated talkback keypad.

Talkback can be directed to four groups, individual channels or all destinations. A dedicated cue mode button and direct access to the talkback setup screen provide additional control during live productions.

Physical talkback and monitoring connections include:

• 1 × 5-pin XLR headset connection
• 1 × 3-pin XLR microphone input
• 2 × 6.35 mm headphone outputs
• 2 × 3-pin XLR audio monitor outputs

The Control Room and Monitoring keypad provides dedicated source and monitor circuit selection directly from the panel.

SMPTE 2110 IP video and audio connectivity

Two 10G RJ45 Ethernet connections provide support for SMPTE 2110 IP video and audio networks, as well as analog audio input and output from the panel. A separate 1G RJ45 Ethernet port is provided for computer connection, configuration and software updates.

The panel also includes an HDMI monitor output supporting HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60.

A USB-C connection provides an additional computer connection for software configuration and updates.

Cue player, snapshots and mixer control

Dedicated Cue Player controls provide direct operation of Fairlight Live’s jingle and cart functionality for sound effects and stingers. MIDI cues are also supported for triggering external equipment.

A dedicated Snapshots keypad lets you store and recall mixer settings and configurations, while the Masters keypad provides access to master views and lets you place masters directly onto the faders.

Additional Global controls provide forward, back, undo and escape functions, access to the setup screen and three user-definable buttons.

Flexible and redundant power options

For fixed installations, the Fairlight Live Audio Panel 10 includes an internal 100–240V AC power supply with IEC C14 connection.

A separate 4-pin XLR 12V DC input can be used with an external power supply or battery, providing an additional power option for professional production environments.
