This complete rig combines a large-format RGBW sensor with full SMPTE 2110 IP network integration. Equipped with interchangeable lens mounts and an included high-resolution OLED electronic viewfinder, it lets you capture feature films or commercials with precision.

This model operates directly within high-bandwidth networked environments. The integrated 100Gb/s QSFP28 network connection routes uncompressed IP video and manages large file transfers without external encoding hardware. You get direct Blackmagic Cloud uploads, Web Media Management, and livestreaming while recording internal RAW media.

12K large-format RGBW sensor and high-speed frame rates

The 35.64mm x 23.32mm large-format RGBW sensor captures 12,288 x 8040 open gate footage. With a 2.9-micron pixel pitch and 16 stops of dynamic range, you achieve detailed images with natural highlight roll-off and deep shadow retention. This high-resolution foundation supports visual effects workflows, heavy grading, and reframing during post-production.

The sensor supports high-speed shooting formats across multiple aspect ratios. Capture 12K 3:2 open gate video at up to 80 fps, or 12K 2.4:1 at 120 fps for slow-motion sequences. The sensor windows down to 8K open gate mode at 144 fps, or up to 240 fps using a 4.6K B4 crop. Built-in IR ND filters with clear, 2-stop, 4-stop, and 6-stop options let you adjust exposure quickly in changing light without sacrificing color accuracy.

Interchangeable lens mounts and control options

The interchangeable lens mount system adapts to your workflow. The camera comes with a PL mount preinstalled for cinema glass and includes an EF mount for photographic lenses. When you use optional electronic EF mounts or compatible PL and LPL lenses, the camera populates metadata via i/Technology, embedding iris, focus, and zoom data into your recorded files.

Adjust settings quickly using the dedicated iris wheel and touchscreen slider for electronically controllable lenses. A physical focus button triggers peaking instantly, while auto-iris averages the scene without clipping highlights in film mode. Physical controls include push buttons, a 3-pin Fischer run/stop connector, and REST API support for remote camera control via Ethernet or WiFi.

100G QSFP28 network integration and SMPTE 2110 IP workflow

In studio and broadcast environments, you can feed uncompressed video directly into your network router. The built-in 100GbE connection delivers SMPTE 2110 video straight to your switcher without external encoders. Deliver 12K fidelity or down-sampled 4K feeds over the IP network while maintaining focus with the included OLED electronic viewfinder and peaking controls.

Two independent 12G-SDI ports provide traditional on-set monitoring. Two XLR inputs handle audio capture with switching between mic, line, and AES audio, plus phantom power support. The camera supports Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) and Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) for local or global livestreaming over Ethernet.

8TB Blackmagic Media Module and dual 1500-nit touchscreens

The included 8TB Blackmagic Media Module handles continuous Blackmagic RAW recording at maximum bitrates, from Constant Quality Q0 to Constant Bitrate 3:1. Network access lets crew members use the Web Media Manager to browse, download, and delete clips over Ethernet via a browser, while SMB and FTP sharing provide offload options for post-production.

Dual 12.7 cm LCD touchscreens on the fold-out display and assist station deliver 1500-nit brightness for viewing in daylight at 1920×1080 resolution. Combined with the included URSA Cine EVF—featuring a 6.22 million dot OLED display and a diopter range of -5 to +5—you get accurate monitoring for focus and exposure.
