It can smoothly rotate 360 degree with the panning grip and swivels 15 degree in any direction or locks vertically. The DX327C has a adjustable friction control on the swivel ball and lets you adjust tension for different weight equipment and resistance requirements. The base locking collar keeps the monopod standing upright. At least it has a foam grip for solid hold in wet or cold conditions.
