The Telycam Vision+ 4KN 12X is a professional PTZ camera built with a 1/2.8-inch 9MP UHD CMOS sensor and 12X optical zoom for broadcast technicians, AV integrators, and production teams. Operating under part number TLC-300-IP-12-4K(NDI)-AB, this camera delivers simultaneous video streams across NDI®HX3, HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, and USB Type-C connections to integrate into modern and legacy infrastructure.

Designed for corporate auditoriums, hybrid meeting rooms, and houses of worship, the camera features onboard auto-tracking to follow speakers smoothly without external servers. It embeds 3.5mm stereo line input audio into video signals while outputting Ultra HD video up to 3840×2160 at 60 frames per second over IP and HDMI connections.

The Telycam Vision+ 4KN 12X incorporates a 1/2.8-inch 9MP UHD CMOS sensor paired with a 12X optical zoom lens. This optical configuration delivers a horizontal viewing angle ranging from 80.5 degrees at wide to 7.6 degrees at telephoto, with a diagonal range from 90 degrees to 8.7 degrees and vertical coverage from 50.0 degrees to 4.4 degrees. Production teams can easily transition from wide venue shots to detailed presenter close-ups while maintaining image sharpness.

For challenging lighting environments, the camera operates at a minimum rating of 0.5 lux, leveraging 2D and 3D noise reduction to keep streams clear of visual artifacts. Production technicians maintain full control over signal quality using flexible image adjustment controls. These include auto and manual modes for focus, iris, exposure, white balance, and electronic shutter, as well as gamma, backlight compensation, image flip, and mirroring functions to adapt to any physical installation.

Concurrent multi-format outputs for versatile workflow routing

The Telycam Vision+ 4KN 12X routes simultaneous video signals across HDMI 2.0, NDI®HX3, 3G-SDI, and USB Type-C ports to handle flexible production environments. Operators can deliver an Ultra HD feed up to 3840*2160 at 60 frames per second over HDMI 2.0 directly to local displays. Concurrently, the NDI®HX3 main stream transmits IP video up to 3840*2160 at 60 fps across network infrastructure alongside a 640*360 sub stream for lightweight monitoring.

For broadcast environments, the 3G-SDI output provides reliable video at up to 1080p60 or 1080i60 to feed traditional broadcast switchers or local IMAG displays. Simultaneously, the USB Type-C port outputs formats including MJPG, H.264, and H.265 up to 3840*2160 at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps for direct computer connectivity. This comprehensive port array allows a single camera to service local monitoring, IP distribution, hardware switching, and soft-codec applications at the same time.

Onboard presenter tracking and FreeD for automated production

Built-in auto-tracking allows operators to execute target switching and area adjustments directly on the device. Onboard hardware processing eliminates the need for third-party hardware, external software, or dedicated tracking servers to keep speakers framed. The camera calculates subject positions internally and drives the PTZ motors dynamically across a pan range of -176° to +176° and a tilt range of -30° to +90°. This self-contained framing mechanism simplifies live operations by automating subject movement without adding extra computing loads to the production pipeline.

For studio productions and virtual environments, the camera integrates FreeD protocol support to transmit real-time positional data. This capability provides exact tracking metrics to render engines for virtual graphics integration and augmented reality setups. Combined with pan speeds up to 120° per second and tilt speeds up to 80° per second, the automated system maintains accurate spatial alignment throughout dynamic camera movements.

Integrated IP streaming protocols for direct network encoding

Connecting to a local network via the 1000M port provides access to multiple IP streaming protocols for direct network output. You can stream directly from the camera over SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, or WebRTC straight to CDNs or remote facilities without requiring a standalone hardware encoder. For internal network distribution, the unit also supports RTSP and MPEG-TS protocols to streamline local signal delivery.

Over this Gigabit connection, NDI®HX3 transmits low-latency video alongside embedded audio, tally, and PTZ control signals, consolidating management onto a single standard IP infrastructure. Built-in H.264 and H.265 video encoding features variable bitrate and constant bitrate controls spanning from 1024Kbps to 122800Kbps. Flexible bitrate configuration allows operators to tailor stream bandwidth to specific production environments without compromising transmission performance.

Precise PTZ mechanics and PoE+ for flexible installation

Mechanical pan operates across a range of -176° to +176°, paired with a tilt rotation of -30° to +90°. Variable pan speeds from 0.1° to 120° per second and tilt speeds from 0.1° to 80° per second support both subtle tracking and rapid angle changes during live broadcasts. Preset positioning delivers 0.1° accuracy, allowing operators to save up to 256 presets via serial ports or 10 using the remote controller for instant shot framing.
