The Kiloview N50 is a bidirectional 4K 12G-SDI to NDI and NDI|HX2/3 converter and encoder/decoder that supports 3G-SDI video input to full NDI and NDI|HX2/3 with 12G-SDI loop output or 12G-SDI video output from an NDI / NDI|HX2/3 input stream. It supports video input and output with up to UHD 4Kp60 resolution with 10-bit 4:2:2 YCC support with less than 80ms latency. It supports H.265/H.264 video codecs as well as AAC-LC audio encoding.

This converter features a large, integrated color LCD display that shows the device status, and can also double as a tally light. It also features 3.5mm audio line input / output for intercom use with the Kiloview Intercom System. An SD card slot provides the ability to add optional SD card media up to 2TB for recording your stream. It can be managed using the Gigabit Ethernet port and powered via Gigabit PoE or with a DC power adapter.

Encoding & Decoding with Ultralow Latency
In the encoding mode, the N50 easily converts a 4K 12G-SDI video signal into an NDI and NDI|HX2/3 stream. While in decoding mode, it will automatically adapt the NDI and NDI|HX2/3 format as your end needs. The N50 handles your NDI transmission easily with low latency of less than 80ms.

Pro-Level Color Performance
The N50 supports a professional YCbCr 4:2:2 color space and a 10-bit color depth (the common 8-bit color depth is also available). It provides high color and image quality to match the high standard in the broadcast and medical industries.

Built-In LCD Screen and Scroll Wheel

The N50 is equipped with a big color LCD screen for users to check the unit parameters anytime, anywhere. It can also be used as a big tally and works in conjunction with the small tally on the back panel, making it easy for all personnel in the field to check the PVW or PGM status in real-time. The scroll wheel enables users to customize settings, switch on/off, set quick shortcuts, and control all video sources with preeminent ease.

Audio and Intercom
The N50 supports 12G-SDI embedded audio and 3.5mm analog audio encoding/decoding. It supports an extended USB audio interface (e.g., USB headset), to realize an end-to-end real-time intercom among the Kiloview devices operators and the associated Kiloview Intercom System (KIS).

PTZ Control
With a future update, the N50 supports PTZ control through USB to serial RS-232/RS-485/RS-422. It also adopts network control protocols (such as Sony VISCA/Pelco-D/Pelco-P) for external PTZ control.

PoE and DC Power
N50 has two Ethernet interfaces, one which supports the PoE IEEE 802.3 power. Just plug in a network cable, and you can easily access both the power supply and network transmission. It also supports a 12 VDC power supply and can easily power the device with a portable charger or camera battery.

SD Card Storage
N50 offers an SD storage extension that eases your recording of encoding NDI video directly into an SD card up to 2TB, and local recording supports .MOV format. SD storage prevents your recording process from losing video frames caused by network delay, network interruption, or fluctuation.

Central Management with KiloLink Server
The N50 can connect to KiloLink Server seamlessly which optimizes media transmission by any Kiloview products using any available network links. It helps to manage, monitor, and control all the devices throughout the process.
